LEVEL I: The Foundation
A 7 day immersion with a curated small group where you’ll learn how to lead a sound meditation. We approach our psychedelic journeys as sound meditations so that is the foundation of this training. You don’t need to be a musician or a shaman. Level I prepares you to lead with sacred sound and develop what it means to experience yourself as an instrument. You’ll receive hands-on mentorship with instruments like the gong and experience our signature psychedelic journey. You’ll be invited to more advanced training to develop as a psychedelic guide but Level I can be taken as a stand-alone immersion to work simply with sound.

LEVEL II: The Initiation
A 5-month online program to train as a psychedelic guide. It’s a space to call in all of who you are – including the mystic and mythical layers. By connecting with this work through a multidisciplinary and shamanic approach, we invite in something more profound that yields deeper results. The program includes breakthrough assignments and 1-on-1 mentorship with Quddus.
LEVEL III: The Ascension
A 4 day immersion to facilitate a psychedelic journey for this cohort. A moment to fully embody what we’ve been exploring and get in-depth feedback on how it shows up through you. In success, you will be invited to join our trusted network of guides. There are no guarantees of being certified but the path is in the practice and this will provide a unique opportunity to inhabit the role and find your voice in it.

Our Approach
We approach our psychedelic journeys as sound meditations. By deeply listening to overtone rich instruments like the gong we can make the most of the psychedelic state and go deeper into our own process.
We create a sacred space to go beyond our habitual patterns and break through them. The instruments we feature have been used by spiritual and shamanic communities for thousands of years.
Sound Sanctuary is a shamanically informed experience designed for a full spectrum of feeling so we take a holistic approach in The Academy. We believe the training needs to be as much about you as anything else so you can hold that space. The more capacity you have the better you can hold that space so we make space for you too.

meet your GUIDE
Quddus is a shamanic guide, multi-instrumentalist and the founder of Sound Sanctuary. Before this path, he built a career in music and media, starting as a campus radio DJ then becoming a host on MTV’s iconic show Total Request Live. TIME Magazine named him “one of pop culture’s foremost tastemakers.” After leaving MTV, he worked as a creative director at Myspace Records and then felt inspired to do a leadership training which led to him launching The Creator Incubator to help other creatives amplify their work. A divorce and a deeper reckoning with success shifted his path. Sound and psychedelics became the way back to himself. Years of study with master teachers in sound and the shamanic arts turned that personal breakdown into a path of service, and now he is paying it forward by training other practitioners with Sound Sanctuary Academy.
